Improving processes related to the implementation of sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions has been one of the key priorities for the plywood processing company SIA “Troja.”
Learn more about how SIA “Troja” implements sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions in its processes.
SIA “TROJA,” in collaboration with SIA “Smart Electric Technology,” offers a public electric vehicle fast-charging station, located next to the production facility in Riga, Bauskas Street 143.
The 80 kW DC charging station is equipped with CCS and Chademo plugs.
Additionally, there are four 22 kW AC charging stations nearby, equipped with Type 2 charging cables.
When purchasing electricity, SIA “Troja” has chosen green energy, which is also used to charge electric vehicles at this station.
The company supports the implementation of environmentally friendly technologies, such as the solar panel park installed on the roof of the production building with a capacity of 222 kW, one of the largest in Latvia.
The solar panels will generate up to 183,000 kWh of green electricity annually, which is 12% of the plant’s total electricity consumption. By utilizing the benefits of green energy, the creation of the solar panel park will help save 19.31 tons of CO2 emissions each year and reduce the company’s costs in the long term.
It is planned that the company’s investment of 130,000 EUR in the project will pay off within 8 years. The project was implemented in collaboration with SIA “PV Service” and SIA “EG Inženieri.”
