The plywood processing company SIA "TROJA," in collaboration with SIA "Smart Electric Technology," has opened a fast-charging station for electric vehicles, now accessible to the general public.
The 50 kW DC charging station is equipped with both CCS and Chademo plugs. The station was purchased a couple of years ago with the purpose of charging the company's electric vehicles.
By equipping the station with the control system offered by SIA "Smart Electric Technology," the charging station has now become public. Charging is activated using the Charge & GO app.
Additionally, there are three 22kW AC charging stations equipped with Type 2 charging cables. Charging is provided free of charge for company visitors.
"The company supports the introduction of environmentally friendly technologies. For example, the solar panel park installed on the roof of the production building, with a capacity of 222 kW, is one of the largest in Latvia. We have also chosen green electricity for our electricity purchases, which will be used to charge the electric vehicles at this charging station," says Modris Krauja, Technical Director of SIA "TROJA."
Grigory Sargsjan, CEO of SIA "Smart Electric Technology," explains that the company is the first in Latvia to manufacture charging stations for electric cars and electric buses. The company uses only the latest technologies in its solutions. Currently, SIA "Smart Electric Technology" manufactures both AC and DC charging stations, for both commercial and individual use, with a power range from 7 kW to 350 kW. The Charge & GO mobile app allows users to reserve a charging station, view the charging status of their electric vehicle, as well as the status of other vehicles if the station is occupied. With the app, any user can quickly and easily pay for the service.
